Candidates are transferred to the Electronic Staff Record (ESR) with the person type of ‘Applicant’ during the Offer stage of a recruitment.
The HR Shared Services (HRSS) Recruitment Team will update ESR with the person type of ‘Employee’ and enter the new employee’s assignment details within 5 working days of the Start Date and Contractual Information being provided in the ‘ 1CT- Employment Checks Complete – Action Required’ email by the Line Manger. This process is known as hiring a new employee onto ESR.
Where an external candidate is coming into the organisation on a secondment basis, they will be hired onto ESR with the person type ‘Secondee’ upon receipt of a Secondment In Control Form (SICF).
