When creating a vacancy request, the Recruiting Manager (RM) must enter the name and email address of each Authoriser in a specific order.

The order is determined by adding a number into the field next to the Authorisers name. This is known as the authorisation path.

If the order has been entered incorrectly, the request will be sent back to draft by the HR Shared Services (HRSS) Recruitment team.

The table below shows the authorisation path that must be used:

Authorisation path for Internal, External and restricted vacancies

2 Kay Robertson kay.robertson@hssib.org.uk

What happens when the vacancy is submitted for authorisation?

Once a vacancy has come through to HRSS they have one working day to review a vacancy request.

When HRSS approve the vacancy, the advert will be made live within one working day by the HRSS Recruitment team.

If the vacancy is sent back to draft by an Authoriser, the RM will be notified via email from both Trac and HRSS.
