When conducting a Right to Work (RTW) check on an individual with a Home Office share code, this must be checked on the Home Office website to obtain the Home Office online check output. This output advises of the individuals immigration status and any related restriction on their RTW.

To enable HR Shared Services (HRSS) to complete the necessary RTW check, we must carry out a video call via Teams to verify the person presenting themselves is a true likeness of the Home Office online check output. This is referred to as a Home Office share code appointment.

How is an appointment booked?

The individual will be issued a a Digital Pre-employment Check (DPEC) request including the Home Office share code Request form. They will be asked to carry out the following:

  • Provide their Home Office share code
  • Confirm their visa type
  • Provide a supporting document
  • Book a Home Office share code appointment
