Executive Senior Manager (ESM) is the new name for the Very Senior Manager (VSM) pay framework.
There are now only four pay bands on this scale which are Grade 1 to Grade 4.
This change in pay framework will only apply to newly created roles or reviewed/amended 'old' VSM roles. Therefore both VSM and ESM pay scales will be used until all VSM roles have been re-evaluated on to the ESM pay scale.
All current VSM's will remain on the VSM pay framework until their role is reviewed or they obtain a new post. Therefore if a VSM applies and is appointed to a new role, this role will have been evaluated on the ESM pay framework as a Grade 1 - 4 and they will move to that grade.
There are no changes to the any of the other Terms and Conditions.
