References make sure that the candidate's employment or training history is suitable for the role they have applied for.

They are requested during the pre-employment stage in Trac and will provide the below information, as a minimum;

  • where the individual has been employed

  • dates of employment

  • position held

  • recent or on-going disciplinary action or referrals, if any

If you are recruiting a student, the references will provide the place and dates of study.
