How is the Interview panel entered?
The Interview panel is entered by the Lead Shortlister when completing the Interview Gateway.
Any Interview panel members who were added during the vacancy request stage will auto-populate in the fields of the form; these should be treated as a suggested Interview panel. The Lead Shortlister will be able to remove and replace these people as required.
Who can be listed as an Interviewer within the organisation?
An Interviewer can be any active employee of your organisation.
All Interviewers should use their @nhsbsa.nhs.uk email address due to security, personal email addresses should never be used. .
Does an Interviewer have to be employed by the Interviewing organisation?
No, the only panel member that must be part of the organisation is the Lead Interviewer.
The organisation can hire a consultant / representative from another organisation to be part of the Interview panel.
External Interview panel members are especially common for senior roles such as Executive and Senior Managers (ESM) posts.
For security reasons, a @nhs.net email (or organisation equivalent) should be used however, if HR Shared Services (HRSS) receive approval from the Corporate HR team to include another Interviewer from outside the organisation, the relevant updates will be applied.
How do I add a panel member who does not have a Trac Account?
You do not need a Trac account to be entered as an Interviewer.
If no drop-down option appears when inputting a panel member, this means the user does not have a Trac admin account. The Lead Shortlister will need to add the Interviewer using the following format: Name Email Address.

How many Interview panel members are required?
One person must be listed as the Lead Interviewer, who will be responsible for updating the Interview outcomes on Trac
There is no limit on the volume of Interview panel members required.
