The Good Work Plan (GWP) is a series of recommendations made by Matthew Taylor, chief executive of the Royal Society of Arts. Matthew Taylor was commissioned by the Prime Minister to complete an independent review of modern working practices; the GWP, published in December 2018, is the result of this independent review and aims to bring UK employment law in line with modern ways of working.
In response to the recommendations made in the GWP, changes have been made to the UK employment law which took effect on 6 April 2020. The law requires that all employees and workers starting work on or after 6 April 2020 are provided with a ‘Written Statement of Particulars’ on or before their first day of employment.
All HR Shared Services (HRSS) clients were asked to review their Offer letters and Contracts to ensure that they contained the additional information required by the new legislation.
You can view a full list of the additional particulars that are required to be included in the Offer / Contract on the NHS Employers website.
