When a foreign national has a visa to stay in the UK for a period of 6 months or longer, there may be a requirement for the individual to register with their local police department upon arrival in the UK. It is the candidate’s responsibility to check if this is required or not.

The individual can check if they need to do this by checking the Gov.uk website.

When interviewing candidates, the interview panel should check this information with the candidate to ensure they have registered with the local police department if required before commencing employment should the candidate be successful.
