When a start date is changed, the Recruiting Manager (RM) must send an email to HR Shared Services (HRSS) with the new start date.

If the candidate has not yet started but a contract has been issued, HRSS will amend the contract and reissue it to the candidate.  The RM would need to contact the NHSE Workforce team to make them aware of the changes so that the employee is added to ESR correctly.

Where a candidate's Electronic Staff Record (ESR) has already been updated to 'Employee', the NHSE Workforce team would need to be contacted for the required changes to be made in ESR.
