How is the Interview panel entered?

The Interview panel is entered by the Lead Shortlister when completing the Interview Gateway.

Any Interview panel members who were added during the vacancy request stage will auto-populate in the fields of the form; these should be treated as a suggested Interview panel. The Lead Shortlister will be able to remove and replace these people as required.

Who can be on the interview panel?

An interview panel member can be any employee of NHS England (NHSE) but may also be somebody external such as a subject matter expert from another organisation.

For security reasons, a @nhs.net email (or organisation equivalent) should be used. In the case of an external panel member, they should use their organisation’s corporate email address.

Approval is required from the Human Resources and Organisation Development (HR and OD) team to include a panel member with a personal email address.

How do I add a panel member who does not have a Trac Account?

You do not need a Trac account to be entered as an Interviewer.

If no drop-down option appears when inputting a panel member, this means the user does not have a Trac admin account. The Lead Shortlister will need to add the Interviewer using the following format: Name Email Address.

For example, Joe Bloggs joe.bloggs@nhs.net

How many Interview panel members are required?

One person must be listed as the Lead Interviewer, who will be responsible for updating the Interview outcomes on Trac

There is no limit on the volume of Interview panel members required.
