The standard advertising duration is 10 working days as per NHS England's (NHSE) organisation policy.
Requesting longer or shorter advertising periods for standard vacancies
Both internal and external NHSE vacancies must be advertised for a minimum of 10 days as per their organisation policy.
Any requests to close the vacancy early will not be accepted if this is the first time the vacancy is being advertised.
However, if a vacancy has already been advertised internally for a minimum of 10 days and then is moved to external, then the request to close the vacancy early can be accepted as it has already met the 10 days organisation policy.
The Recruiting Manager (RM) will need to respond to an email from Trac communication received to their outlook account, related to the vacancy to request the above and no approval is required.

A standard restricted vacancy will be advertised for one working day.
