What is the First Day Reporting (FDR) email?
The FDR email is sent to the Recruiting Manager (RM) to request the candidate's FDR information; this information is required to enable the contractual documentation to be produced.
What information does the FDR email request?
The email will ask the RM for the following information:
- Start Date
- Time
- Report to Contact
- New Line Manager Name
- New Line Manager Employee Number
- New Line Manager Email Address
- Does the New Line Manager require ESR Supervisor Self Service access?
- Will the employee have line manager responsibility?
- End date of Fixed Term Contract or Secondment agreement (if applicable)
- Notice Period (For External Secondments)
When is the FDR email sent?
The recruitment team will send the 'Start Details Confirmation' email template when the conditional offer is issued to request the starting information. However, if the starting information is not returned in response to the 'Start Details Confirmation' email, another email will be sent to the RM to request the information.
The FDR email is sent within two working days of the candidate moving into 'Ready for start date' stage in Trac.
Who can provide the FDR information?
Although the FDR information is requested from the RM, the information can be accepted from any individual named on the vacancy, for example, the Lead Interviewer, Shortlister etc.
