The Digital Pre-employment Checks Guide details what identity (ID) documentation can be accepted.
HR Shared Services (HRSS) are guided by the check standards of NHS Employers, available on the NHS Employers website. NHS Employers and the Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) have confirmed that a broadband bill can be accepted as proof of address, providing that it's a genuine, original document (an online document cannot be accepted).
Any uncertainty on whether a document can be accepted should be queried directly with the Corporate HR team.
Please be aware that for any documents being used as proof of address, you cannot accept two documents from the same provider. For example, gas and electricity bills from the same company.
When will the 'Digital Pre-employment Checks Guide’ be received?
A candidate will initially receive the 'Digital Pre-employment Checks Guide' when they receive an invite to interview.
A Recruiting Manager (RM) will have access to this document once they receive the notification to confirm the Interview Pack is ready to download.
