HR Shared Services (HRSS) will chase any outstanding checks by email every four working days. The Recruiting Manager (RM) will be copied into these emails to ensure they are aware what pre-employment checks are outstanding for their candidate.

The chases will take place;

  • Four working days after the Offer letter was sent. This is classed as the 1st weekly pre-employment check chase.

  • Eight working days after the Offer letter was sent. This is classed as the 2nd weekly pre-employment check chase.

  • 12 working days after the Offer letter was sent. HRSS will escalate this to the RM at this stage and advise them to have a discussion with the Corporate HR team on how to proceed with the recruitment.

The RM can also support the process during any scheduled contact with the successful candidate.

No further pre-employment update emails are to be sent following the escalation email. If pre-employment checks are still not complete 4 working days after the escalation email is sent, this should be raised with your Team Manager.
